Born Phoenix, Arizona 1949
Shelley Hamlin turned professional in 1972 after a successful career as an Amateur where she represented America in two Curtis cup events. She went on to win three times as a Professional between 1978 and 1993. Her swing is classic, although teaching today would recommend a greater body turn on the backswing.
At the end of her career in 2018, days before an early death caused by cancer, Shelley Hamlin was enshrined in the Legends Tour Hall of Fame.
